Conservative broadcaster Glenn Beck has been trying to sell his Dallas-area home for the past couple of years—with no luck.
Now the outspoken Blaze Media founder has relisted the Westlake, TX, home for $4.95 million. The current price represents a 20% discount from the initial list price of $6.2 million in May 2018. Glenn and his wife, Tania, had purchased the 3.5-acre spread in 2012 for an undisclosed amount.
Built in 2004, the five-bed, 6.5-bath home sits in the Vaquero Club golf community and comes with a guest house with living room and en suite bedroom. Venture outside and you’ll find additional living areas, a diving pool, spa, fire pit, water features, and pergola with golf course views.
The traditional home features exposed wood beams, stacked-stone walls, French wide-plank wood floors, and cathedral ceilings.
Beck moved to the Dallas area in 2011 after splitting with Fox News to set up a home base for his own operation, Mercury Radio Arts, which operates conservative outlet The Blaze. Things in the Lone Star State haven’t panned out so well for Beck; there have been well-publicized rounds of layoffs at the media outlet and, in 2016, he sold off his private plane.
Early on in the Trump administration, Beck split with the mainstream conservative movement and criticized the president, even coating his face in Cheetos dust to poke fun at the then-presidential candidate. Lately, according to the New Republic, Beck has pivoted back to a distinctly Trumpian point of view.
