Celebrity Chef Giada De Laurentiis Serves Up a Sale of Her Pacific Palisades Home

Celebrity chef Giada De Laurentiis has whipped up a sale of her modern home in Pacific Palisades, CA, which was sold for the full asking price of $7 million.

The cooking show star reportedly purchased the upscale residence for $6.9 million three years ago. She decided to quietly put it on the market this year. She was looking to downsize and focus on a space for her and her daughter, according to listing agent Smith Cho of Compass.

In fact, she may have already moved on. According to Variety, De Laurentiis purchased a 3,610-square-foot, midcentury modern bungalow nearby for $4.9 million.

The home she sold certainly has all the right ingredients for a seamless transaction.

The 6,500-square-foot home has five bedrooms and 5.5 baths. It features a bright and open floor plan, including a double-sided fireplace and a wall of glass that allows indoor-outdoor living.

Built in 2015, De Laurentiis has been the only owner and the home “has been maintained in pristine condition,” notes the listing. Naturally, the kitchen is a highlight, with a 24-foot-long stone island.

The master suite also offers a luxurious retreat, with a private balcony, luxe bath, and fireplace. The media/game room features wine storage, bar, and window with view into the outdoor pool. The home also comes with a gym and garage.

Outside, the compact yard features a pool, spa, and kitchen, as well as a grassy lawn.

Located in the coastal neighborhood of the Pacific Palisades, the property offers views from the Santa Monica Mountains to the ocean, and is walkable to the shopping and dining venues of Palisades village.

Now 49, the Italian-born chef has hosted multiple shows for the Food Network, including “Giada at Home,” “Giada’s Weekend Getaways,” and “Everyday Italian.” She also appears on NBC’s “Today” show. The author of nine best-selling cookbooks also owns two restaurants in Las Vegas.
