Actor and comedian Sebastian Maniscalco and his wife, Lana Gomez, have listed their stylish Kelly Wearstler–decorated home in the Beverly Grove neighborhood of L.A. for $4.5 million.
Listing agent Aaron Kirman of Aaron Kirman Group at Compass says Wearstler and Gomez collaborated on the decor of the modern Mediterranean in West Hollywood. Gomez was a resident painter working with Wearstler when Gomez first moved to Los Angeles in 2007.
It took the duo two years to complete the wildly creative project, which now features Gomez’s colorful artwork throughout the 4,096-square-foot home. Wearstler also created a few pieces of furniture for the residence, including the striped dining table.
Other custom furniture pieces include a bar cabinet by L.A. designer Peter Shire, a cabinet in the living room by New York designer Katie Stout, and several Ettore Sottsass pieces. Some of the furniture and artwork are negotiable.
The home, which the couple purchased in 2014 for $2,801,500, was featured in Architectural Digest, which described it as “a color-soaked L.A. pad for a free-spirited young family.”
Whimsical designer touches throughout the gated home brim with bright colors, textures, and patterns. No room is left unadorned—even the spacious master bedroom features creative touches from floor to vaulted ceiling, extending to the private balcony and the luxe master bath.
The remaining bedrooms are also en suite, and each overflows with decor—even the nursery.
The kitchen, which opens to the great room on the main floor, has a plus-size island, professional-grade appliances, and French doors to the outdoor living area. That space has a built-in barbecue and geometric pool and spa.
“Beyond being an art piece itself, it’s an exquisite family home, perfect for entertaining” says Kirman.
Right in the heart of West Hollywood, the home is located just south of trendy Melrose Avenue, so a new owner can easily walk to some of the poshest restaurants and designer shops in SoCal.
Maniscalco, 46, can currently be seen in Martin Scorsese‘s “The Irishman,” and had a role in last year’s Oscar-winning “Green Book.” As a stand-up comedian, he has three Netflix specials under his belt.
Gomez is Maniscalco’s muse and the subject of much of his stand-up material. She created the 10-foot guitar sculpture on the Sunset Strip for Gibson GuitarTown, and has been featured in publications like House Beautiful, InStyle, Los Angeles Confidential, and the New Yorker.
