Asking $58.5M, 87th-Floor Condo at One57 Is Most Expensive New Listing

realtor.com

A full-floor apartment on the 87th floor of a tower in midtown Manhattan is this week’s most expensive new listing on realtor.com®. The price: $58.5 million.

The unit is in One57, a 90-story high-rise located in an area of residential towers known as Billionaires’ Row. The building was completed in 2014 and boasts the longest south-to-north views of Central Park in private residences, according to marketing materials.

An 80th-floor unit on the market in March for $60 million also topped our most expensive home list at the time. However, it’s no longer on the market.

Seven floors up, this 6,234-square-foot abode is both the most expensive in the building and uppermost unit still available, according to available listings.

For additional context, the least expensive apartment available in the building is a $3.6 million one-bedroom unit on the 42nd floor, with 1,037 square feet of living space.

This four-bedroom, 5.5-bath unit comes with a private elevator, and an elegant foyer that leads to the living and dining space.

The great room provides a “wow” factor, with wall-to-wall windows overlooking Central Park. The enormous living area offers plenty of space for large parties.

A windowed, eat-in designer kitchen includes custom cabinetry, double Sub-Zero and Miele appliances, and island with custom stools.

A hallway that doubles as a gallery for showcasing an art collection leads to the master suite, which also boasts Central Park views. The master bath includes dual vanities, water closets, and two marble showers. A wet room features a soaking tub and steam shower.

Other amenities include motorized shades, hardwood flooring, and custom door hardware.

Building residents can take advantage of the services of the Park Hyatt, located on the floors below the residential units.

Perks include concierge services, a health club with pool and spa, and a five-star restaurant. Homeowners receive their own private services, separate from the hotel, including 24/7 door attendants, concierge service, a screening room, gym, and yoga studio.

Designed by Pritzker-winning architect Christian de Portzamparc, the building made headlines when it was reported that Dell Technologies founder and CEO Michael Dell purchased a penthouse in One57 for over $100 million in 2014, breaking records at the time.

That record was topped this year by billionaire Kenneth Griffin, who dropped $238 million for two apartments in an unfinished building in nearby 220 Central Park South, the most paid for a home in the U.S.

The location is certainly a draw. For deep-pocketed buyers looking for a trophy pied-à-terre, the locale is steps from Central Park, Columbus Circle, and Fifth Avenue, with its high-end shopping, dining, and entertainment options.

Noble Black and Erik Ternon, both with Douglas Elliman, represent the listing.
