Elin Nordegren, the former wife of Tiger Woods, has cut the price on her South Florida estate by 10%. A year after it went on the market, the custom-built home in North Palm Beach, FL, has had a $5 million price chop.
Originally listed in 2018 for $49.5 million, the mansion recently reappeared with a list price of $44.5 million. Even with the recent discount, it’s still the most expensive listing in the area.
After her split from Woods in 2010, Nordegren, 39, used some of a reported $100 million divorce settlement to purchase a $12.25 million home in 2011. Built in the 1920s, that structure was torn down to make way for the new construction.
Completed in 2014, the Caribbean-inspired design features 11 bedrooms, 15.5 bathrooms, and some 25,878 square feet of interior space, with the focus on the jaw-dropping water views.
Set on a gated spread of 1.4 acres, the oceanfront residence takes advantage of indoor and outdoor space. In the living and dining area, glass doors completely open to expand the living space outside. A wet bar and pool table outdoors under a covered veranda allow for easy entertaining.
Inside, the open kitchen with two islands sits adjacent to a family room with bar seating.
The mansion also features an office, a gym, home theater, an extensive wine cellar, and a catering kitchen.
Upstairs, the spacious master suite offers water views and includes vaulted ceilings as well as a fireplace.
Outside, the grounds include a pool, patio, grassy yard, and views of the ocean. In addition, the property features a guesthouse and a four-car garage.
The home is located in the exclusive enclave of Seminole Landing, a popular golfing community that features a beachfront golf course.
Nordegren’s divorce from Woods made headlines when the golfer’s infidelities became public after a 2009 car accident, leading to their divorce.
Since then, along with building a house and giving birth to her third child, Nordegren completed a degree in psychology from Rollins College in 2014.
Todd Peter of Sotheby’s International Realty holds the listing.
