Are the cold weather and the impending gloom of winter getting you down? One idea for beating the blues is to add some sunny new decor to your home—and Drew Barrymore‘s latest Flower Home furnishings at Walmart fit the bill!
Her eclectic style really shines in this compilation of more than 130 items, which include vintage accents, like antique brass and art deco TV stands and bookshelves. This season, she’s also added user-friendly peel-and-stick wallpaper in fabulous toile patterns and pretty florals—plus gorgeous prints and wall art featuring tropical birds and abstract sunsets.
The best part just might be the price points, starting at less than $30 for bath rugs and topping out at $700 for a sculptural plush loveseat. Here’s some help picking out a few fabulous finds, whether they’re for your own home or gifts for the upcoming holiday season.
Wood and brass shelf
Jamie Novak, author of “Keep This Toss That”, knows a thing or two about organizing, so she’s picked this fun shelf ($67, Walmart) to corral odds and ends.
“This metal and wood combination is on trend—and you can never have too much shelf space,” she notes. It’s an ideal addition to dress up a mudroom space for totes, pet gear, and footwear (just add baskets to hold the shoes).
Lunar reflecting mirror
“Mirrors are like jewelry for the home, as they brighten a space,” Novak says. Consider their design and craftsmanship carefully when picking these pieces. This antique brass and iron accessory ($74, Walmart) makes you look twice—literally.
“The mirror offers a unique twist and makes it an interesting focal point on the wall,” she says.
Tropical toile wallpaper
A mix of boho and Palm Beach in one wallpaper? Yes, please. The teal toile offers casual elegance, while the fluffy birds and exotic flowers give off a tropical vibe. And since it’s a temporary wall covering ($39 per square foot, Walmart), you can live with it for a while—and then let it go.
A pet bed that’s like real furniture
Julie Coraccio, the organizing voice behind Reawaken Your Brilliance, thinks your pet should get some love from this new line too. This swanky pet bed ($61.50, Walmart) is set in a wood frame just like a real bed, upholstered in a marbled fabric.
“With this pick, you can add some style to your rooms, while keeping your cat or dog happy,” Coraccio notes.
Lion bookcase
With two tots of her own, Drew smartly focuses on kids’ items in her collections, including sweet bookcases that double as decor. Coraccio picks this bright yellow lion bookshelf ($199, Walmart) for its adorable charm and utility.
Chevron wire basket set
Versatile and chic, this wire basket duo ($40, Walmart) is small enough to live on a hutch or console table, but it could just as easily hold towels in a bathroom or magazines in the den.
Velvet loveseat
You’ll want to run your hand along the back of this piece every time you pass it ($699, Walmart). With pretty brass-plated legs and a choice of two velvet fabric colors (teal green and red wine), this two-seater pairs nicely with the collection’s wire end table ($149, Walmart).
Fan throw pillow
Jewel tones are on the rise, reports Drew Henry, founder of Design Dudes, and this pillow ($34, Walmart) is the perfect way to experiment with the trend. Try this nod to art deco style on a sofa or accent chair for a pop of color and texture, he adds.
Black cat vase
Henry feels that this vase ($23, Walmart) will fit right in both with boho and with shabby chic home styles.
“It has a bold graphic quality that stands out and acts as a conversation starter,” he says.
Matchbook collection
The photos you have are fine, but adding a funky piece or two can vastly improve your art display. The fix: this framed set of eight matchbooks ($39, Walmart). A piece like this saves you the trouble of collecting and mounting the books yourself.
