“Brady Bunch” star Barry Williams has sold his family beach house for $5.82 million, according to the Los Angeles Times.
Williams, who played Greg Brady on the beloved TV show, recently completed work on another piece of retro real estate. He assisted with the renovations on the “Brady Bunch” home in Studio City on HGTV’s “A Very Brady Renovation.”
The Malibu, CA, home he sold also has a backstory. As we reported when the house came on the market earlier this year, the getaway was built by his mother in 1974, and the family has enjoyed it ever since.
But Williams and his brother, whose families have used the oceanfront retreat as a weekend and holiday home, stay there less and less, and decided to let it go.
Located in the guard-gated enclave of Malibu Cove Colony, the 2,800-square-foot property with three bedrooms and four bathrooms, first came on the market about three years ago for $7,150,000.
The price was dropped over time, reaching $6,375,000 in January.
The two-story house on the sand offers ocean and coastline views. The entry courtyard leads to a bright interior with high ceilings, a living room with a fireplace, and walls of glass.
The open floor plan includes a dining area that faces the oceanfront deck. The chef’s kitchen features stainless-steel appliances, a Sub-Zero fridge, center island, and room for a breakfast table.
Upstairs, the oceanfront master suite boasts two private decks, a fireplace, and ample closets. The two other en suite bedrooms have a wood-beamed ceiling and private deck.
Williams, 65, played the oldest son on “The Brady Bunch,” which ran from 1969 through 1974. He’s appeared in numerous TV shows, and reunited with the original “Brady Bunch” cast for “A Very Brady Christmas.”
