The new pitcher for the Los Angeles Dodgers, David Price, has spent $9.5 million for a sweet spread in Paradise Valley, AZ. And if the home looks familiar, he bought it from a fellow big leaguer.

The transaction went from All-Star to All-Star—Price bought the huge desert mansion of Los Angeles Angels star Justin Upton.

Upton put the custom-built 14,396-square-foot manse on the market last fall for $10.95 million, so Price managed to improve on the … price.

The incredible contemporary estate was built in 2013 and offers stunning views in the premiere location of Mummy Mountain Park.

It’s a one-of-a-kind design meant to accommodate a superstar inside and out.

Large indoor/outdoor dinner gatherings are a breeze, thanks to its chef’s gourmet kitchen, Wolf and Sub-Zero appliances with several ovens, a Miele coffee machine, as well as gas and induction cooktops.

The owner’s suite features floor-to-ceiling retractable glass doors with magnificent mountain and city views, a two-way fireplace with a large sitting area, as well as his-and-hers closets.

Other highlights of the luxe suite include a steam shower with multiple shower-heads and jets, a urinal and Kohler Numi toilet, and a full-size washer and dryer in the closet.

There’s also a sports center with a mezzanine, which overlooks an indoor basketball court with a retractable batting cage.

The sports center also includes a home gym with a cardio area, a game room with golf simulator, billiards area, a full wet bar with dishwasher, mini fridges, a Kegerator, and a private lanai.

Some of the other notable features within this baller estate include a home theater with seating for 13 people and a temperature-controlled wine wall.

The enormous backyard haven features a large covered patio, a fenced Olympic-sized heated pool and spa, fire features, over 20,000 square feet of artificial turf, and a par-3 golf hole.

For an athlete looking to escape prying eyes, the estate is extremely private. It’s fully gated and security cameras are mounted on the home’s exterior and interior.

The mansion is also stuffed with smart technology—Crestron home automation controls the audiovisual system, surround sound, motorized blackout shades, and exterior sunshades.

The original listing said the estate could be purchased fully furnished, but there’s no word whether Price bought any of Upton’s stuff. However, we are 99.9% sure that Upton has taken his memorabilia collection with him.

Both Upton and Price were represented by Thuy Pham with HomeSmart.
