The personal residence of the late French fashion designer Christian Audigier has popped back onto the market. Located in the Hancock Park neighborhood of Los Angeles, the home is listed for $8,950,000.

The Mediterranean-style mansion built in 1915 has been on and off the market for a decade. Audigier, the flashy designer best known for the Von Dutch and Ed Hardy labels, bought the place in 2007 for $4,780,000.

After adding his own personal design touches and renovations, he put the seven-bedroom, seven-bathroom home back on the market in October 2010 for $8.3 million. The next year, the price was reduced to $8,265,000.

Although Audigier died in 2015 at age 57, the mansion did not change hands. According to property records, the home was last listed in 2014 for $9,199,000, and most of the current listing photos show the same furniture.

You might think the 8,276-square-foot home would be bedazzled with faux tattoos and sequins, but all that’s left of his Ed Hardy years is a sparkly, hot-pink crown tucked away in the closet. The rest of the home is simply chic.

There’s quite a bit of plush, tufted furniture and an abundance of rock ‘n’ roll–themed prints on the walls, but the home still has an air of sophistication and elegance. There is a motorcycle parked in the living room, but there’s no information on whether it conveys with the property.

The wood flooring, multipane windows, decorative ceilings, French doors, crystal chandeliers, and wrought-iron staircase are all classic. The bathrooms and kitchen have been updated with modern fixtures with a vintage look.

The lot is just shy of an acre, which is generous for the neighborhood. The grounds feature an elegant dining terrace, rolling green lawns, and a sparkling, tile-lined pool.

And because this is a historical neighborhood, homeowners aren’t permitted to change a home’s facade, so the front exterior retains all its original 1920s grandeur.
