For much of the past season in the NHL, the question was, “Where will Columbus Blue Jackets goalie Sergei Bobrovsky wind up?” The impending free agent seemed to be destined to leave Ohio, and he eventually did bid bye-bye to the Buckeye State.

Now the question is, “How much will his Columbus condo sell for?”

The Russian-born Bobrovsky, who took home the Vezina Trophy as the NHL’s top goaltender in 2013, signed a monster contract with the Florida Panthers this off-season after seven years with the Blue Jackets.

His high-rise North Bank condo has been on the market since May for $3.2 million. The price was just slashed to $2.95 million.

Featuring river views, the 19th floor unit also offers vistas of Huntington Park and Nationwide Arena—the Blue Jackets’ home ice.

The luxurious 5,474-square-foot condo has four bathrooms, four bedrooms, and an airy, open floor plan. The spacious family room and chef’s kitchen take full advantage of the building’s floor-to-ceiling windows and bright, natural light.

All of the bedrooms are en suite and come with private balconies. Building residents have access to two storage units and four covered parking spots. It’s a great combination of urban living and private luxury.

Bobrovsky began his NHL career with the Philadelphia Flyers in 2010, and was named Rookie of the Month that November. Despite showing tremendous promise, he was traded to Columbus in 2012.

As a member of the Blue Jackets, Bobrovsky developed into one of the top goalies in the league. He was named to the NHL All-Star Game in 2015 and 2017, set a franchise record for most wins in a season with 41, and lead the Blue Jackets to the second round of the playoffs for the first time in a dramatic sweep over the heavily favored Tampa Bay Lightning this past spring.

After signing a seven-year, $70 million contract with the Florida Panthers, Bobrovsky is no doubt looking to plant some roots in the Sunshine State.

His Columbus home is being handled by Sandy Raines.
