Funny How Joe Pesci’s Jersey Mansion Is the Week’s Most Popular Home

realtor.com

When Joe Pesci makes a move, wiseguys pay attention. The legendary actor amused real estate watchers this week by listing his waterfront mansion along the Jersey Shore for $6.5 million. Crowds flocked to see the Oscar-winning actor’s residence—easily making it the most popular home of the week on realtor.com®.

The custom bayside estate is seriously conspicuous—a massive, white contemporary mansion perched prominently on the water.

Pesci has owned the eight-bedroom place since 1994, when he paid $850,000 for it. The interiors are sleek, white, and possibly due for an update, but demonstrate the height of mid-1990s extravagance.

Other than Pesci’s pad, you also clicked on a 17-acre property outside Tampa with two mansions, a sprawling manor (also in New Jersey) rumored to have been a hideout for gangster Al Capone and his crew, and the custom Florida waterfront mansion of golfer Jesper Parnevik.

We won’t ask you to go get your shine box, but you should scroll on down for all of this week’s most popular homes. It’d be a real shame if you didn’t…

10. 2450 Bryan Ln, Tarpon Springs, FL

Price: $19,000,000

Why it’s here: This property spans 17 acres of Lake Tarpon and includes several acres of wildlife preserve. The compound includes two mansions built in 1996 and is sold fully furnished. Combined, the residences offer nine bedrooms, 14 bathrooms, two workout rooms, a media room—and a secret concrete panic room! There are five docks, a concrete boat ramp, and the sellers are including a 2016 Bennington Tritoon boat—making this a turnkey dream on the water.

9. 319 Cornwallis Ct, Kissimmee, FL

Price: $30,000

Why it’s here: While the price is low, there’s a lot to consider. For one, there’s a strong possibility that this three-bedroom house is built on a sinkhole. The only way to be sure is to have a foundation specialist conduct a test, which could cost between $6,000 and $8,000. As if that wasn’t enough, there’s a serious mold problem inside, which requires anyone entering to wear a mask. The roof is shot, the foundation is cracked, and the walls are bowing, which means a buyer is likely to have to raze this 15-year-old home.

The house sits on just under a full acre, with another adjacent lot of a similar size also available for purchase.
