When you think of a log cabin, a cozy, quaint home in a rural, wooded locale likely springs to mind.

But not every log cabin is an exercise in roughing it and forgoing creature comforts in favor of the rustic life. We love the craftsmanship that goes into these wooded wonders, but we’re not looking for a cabin without indoor plumbing or a place that’ll give you splinters when you sit down.

In search of cabins with a totally livable vibe, we found 10 up for sale across the country. Sure, some are out in the boonies, but we also found a few closer to civilization.
