The magic touch of the stars of HGTV’s “Property Brothers” can’t always result in magical sale prices. Drew and Jonathan Scott have renovated over 150 places on their popular show, and their signature work takes tired homes from drab to fab.

But that doesn’t always mean that buyers are willing to pay an over-the-top premium for their handiwork.

Take this beautiful makeover that the brothers pulled off in Nashville in season 13 of their show. The ranch-style home was renovated in an episode titled “Cool Under Pressure,” and first appeared on the market in late April for $850,000.

Since then, the price on the property has been cut three times. It’s now offered at $775,000—a 9% reduction in just over a month.

The current price is still a slight premium for the home, which the Scotts spiffed up for $250,000 about two years ago. The owners purchased the three-bedroom, three-bathroom home for $497,000 in February 2018.

The first step in the Scott brothers’ renovation was the conversion of one of the three family rooms into a master suite with a walk-in closet. Their work upped the total number of bedrooms to four, while keeping the size of the home—2,550 square feet—exactly the same.

Next, the Scotts eliminated walls in the living area, and connected the other two family rooms with an open kitchen. The dreamy kitchen now has a huge center island with a sink, stainless-steel appliances, quartz countertops, plenty of sleek white cupboards, and a stylish geometric tile backsplash.

That same treatment was also rolled out for the home’s fireplaces. The two family rooms now feature a double-sided fireplace between them, each surrounded by the same distinctive tile. One room is being used as a living room, and the other serves as a dining area.

The dining area features lovely French doors, which lead out to a deck and the backyard beyond. The entire property measures just shy of an acre.

The home’s other bedrooms and bathrooms were also freshened up. The bedrooms are now light and bright, and the bathrooms feature cool tile work.

Some original aspects of the property, however, needed no renovation or improvement whatsoever. Mainly, the location.

Outside, there’s a pre-Civil War stone wall that borders what was once the Belle Meade Plantation property. It makes this particular patch of land a Nashville classic.

The listing is represented by Mina Jensen with Keller Williams Realty.
