Stand-up comedian Russell Peters is looking to sell a seriously swanky mansion in Hidden Hills, CA, for $8.5 million, Variety reported.

The Canadian funnyman is no laughing matter when it comes to real estate wheeling and dealing. The 49-year-old comic picked up this SoCal property for $6.45 million in 2017, and is hoping for a sizable profit from his three-year investment.

Located in the guard-gated, celebrity-stuffed enclave, the secluded property bills itself as a “remarkable celebrity-owned entertainer’s estate,” and offers a porte-cochère with with space for 20 cars, plus garage parking for five.

Inside, the 11,638-square-foot space opens to a two-story entryway with dual curved staircases that frame the central living room.

A family room with a wet bar opens to covered patios, and a formal dining room is adjacent to the chef’s kitchen, as well as a breakfast room.

Other perks include a 14-seat movie theater, an aquarium, and a temperature-controlled wine storage.

The eight-bedroom, 8.5-bath layout also includes a massive master suite with three walk-in closets, fireplace, and deck. The newly remodeled master bathroom boasts double vanities, a walk-in steam shower, and a separate spa tub.

Outdoors, the large, 1.45-acre lot includes a beach entry pool and spa with waterfall, covered patios, barbecue area, putting green, and landscaping with rolling lawns. The property also features a separate one-bedroom guesthouse.

The actor and producer loves to dabble in real estate deals.

In 2016, he placed a giant Malibu mansion on the market, with a huge price tag to match.

Initially listed for $12 million, the property, which he had purchased two years before for $4,725,000, sat on the market. In 2018, he slashed the price of the Malibu residence to $8.8 million. The home is still available for just under $8 million.

The popular performer has also previously owned a lavish contemporary in Studio City that he listed in 2016 for $2.8 million, and sold for $2.5 million. Peters had picked up the five-bedroom abode in 2009 for $1.96 million and then embarked on a major remodel.

The comic also apparently owns two homes in Las Vegas, and one in his home town of Toronto, which he’s also put on the market, according to Variety.

Peters, who has a worldwide fan base, was the first stand-up comic to get a Netflix special, in 2013. He’s also starred in the Netflix series “The Indian Detective.” His current stand-up show, “Deported,” can be viewed on Amazon Prime.

Desiree Zuckerman with Rodeo Realty holds the listing.
