Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford is moving on from his contemporary mansion in Bloomfield Hills, MI. The home, which overlooks Upper Long Lake, is now on the market for $6.5 million.

The listing details proclaim it “Michigan’s most magnificent estate!” While there’s a dash of hyperbole in that statement, Stafford’s mansion is worthy of an end-zone dance.

It’s gated, private, and sits on a little over an acre of land, with more than 440 feet of lake frontage. The rear of the home faces right out onto the lake, which gives the whole residence spectacular water views.

Built in 1980 and renovated in 2016, the home has five bedrooms, seven bathrooms, and 7,720 square feet of living space.

As you enter the home via the two-story foyer, you’ll be wowed by the walls of windows and the granite floors. The chef’s gourmet kitchen is outfitted in quartzite, with two islands, countertop seating, and Wolf stainless-steel appliances.

The ultra-luxe master suite is located on the first floor, with an exquisite marble bathroom, a coffee bar, and a glass elevator to all three floors of the home.

Other highlights of this baller pad include what’s claimed to be the largest infinity-edge pool in Michigan, an indoor half-basketball court made from hardwood used on the Detroit Pistons home court at the Silverdome, five fireplaces, an outdoor BBQ, a 625-bottle, temperature-controlled wine cellar, hot and cold plunge baths, as well as a sauna and steam room.

The lower level includes a walkout to the gorgeous green backyard.

The sleek, modern manse is within an easy drive to shops, restaurants, and schools—and it’s only 30 miles from Ford Field.

While Stafford is reportedly looking for a different home in Michigan, away from a body of water, he does have a couple of other options.

He owns a home in Atlanta that he purchased in June 2017 for $3.8 million, as well as a $5.4 million estate that he purchased in August 2018 in Newport Coast, CA.

Stafford, 32, has played his entire 11-year career for the Detroit Lions and led the team to three playoff appearances. He was the No. 1 overall pick in the 2009 NFL Draft and has thrown for over 41,000 yards in his career, but has yet to lead the Lions to a postseason win.

Jeff Barker with Max Broock has the listing.
