The actress and model Carmen Electra is selling her stylish home in the Hollywood Hills, according to Variety. She’s asking $2.79 million.
Electra picked up the property in 2016, paying $2.11 million. Judging by the look of the listing photos from five years ago, it doesn’t appear that she’s changed much except for the price tag. She listed the home last month for $2.95 million, but has since cut the price to the current, lower amount.
While it looks traditional from the outside, the interior of the 3,852-square-foot home is quite chic. Built in 1988, it features five bedrooms and five bathrooms. The clotheshorse has transformed the glassed-in wine storage room into an eye-catching display of high heels. You can enjoy a tour she gave Vogue of her packed closet from 2017.
Her home opens to soaring ceilings and a sweeping staircase. Custom dark wood floors run throughout. A living room with a sleek fireplace also features a carved wood swing.
The custom kitchen features a quartz waterfall-edge island, and leads to the family room and dining area, which houses the glassed-in space for showcasing your collection of vintage vino. Or, if you don’t really imbibe, as Electra told Vogue after she moved in, you can use the space as a “shoe museum.”
A dining area sits outside the wine/shoe display. The formal dining room is currently set up with a drum set, and also contains built-ins and multiple windows.
From the kitchen and living spaces, you can look out to the secluded backyard with a serene stone waterfall, and an upper veranda for spacious outdoor entertaining.
Upstairs, an oversized master suite with a fireplace includes an en suite bathroom with a separate tub, topped with a glitzy chandelier.
Other features include a main-floor office or guest quarters, a separate laundry room, and an attached, two-car garage.
Set on a steep lot in the Mount Olympus neighborhood, the spot is just minutes from the Sunset Strip and Hollywood Boulevard.
Electra, 49, began her career as a singer and a Playboy model, then made a splash in the 1990s in “Baywatch.” She’s appeared in many movies, including the “Scary Movie” series, “Starsky and Hutch,” “Disaster Movie,” and “Cheaper by the Dozen 2.” Electra and the Jane’s Addiction guitarist Dave Navarro starred in their own reality TV show, “‘Til Death Do Us Part: Carmen and Dave.”
Heather Albertson and Stephen Hawn with Compass hold the listing.
