It looks like the luxury real estate market is still hot in the San Francisco Bay Area. NBA forward Andre Iguodala, previously with the Golden State Warriors and now attached to the Miami Heat, has let go of his mansion in Lafayette, CA.
Designed by architect Ken Hertel, the Tuscan-style build was sold in just six weeks. For the athlete, selling quickly may have been more important than making a profit. He purchased the home in 2017 for $3.6 million, and just sold it for $3.65 million.
Aside from some cosmetic updates like fresh paint, it doesn’t look like Iguodala made many changes. But he didn’t have to. This 2004 construction was already filled with the best of the best.
The new owners probably know they scored a deal, because this 5,716-square-foot home is quite a gem.
It has all of the top amenities, including a spacious walk-in closet in the master suite, quartz counters in the kitchen, and Tuscan-inspired finishes throughout.
Fit for the Finals MVP, the entrance is grand, with a curved staircase.
The kitchen has two islands and a wine cooler, and opens to a family room and casual dining area. The home has 4.5 bathrooms and five bedrooms—including a master suite and a junior suite—as well as a host of extras.
Entertaining guests will be easy in this house. The home comes with a resort-style pool and spa, a putting green, and, of course, a basketball court.
Julie Ann Poppi with Golden Gate Sotheby’s International Realty represented the seller. Dana Green with Compass represented the buyer.
