It looks as if Adrienne Houghton has caught the home-flipping bug. The former Cheetah Girl is on the prowl for a sale of her Calabasas, CA, mansion, which has been newly renovated and is now available for $3.3 million.
Houghton, who serves as one of the hosts of the popular daytime talk show “The Real,” bought the property in February for $3 million. After her purchase, she quickly got to work with some interior updates.
On the former Disney star’s YouTube channel, All Things Adrienne, the social media maven took a tour of her empty home before carrying out some of the changes she had planned, such as redoing the kitchen with white cabinets, and repurposing an ornate chandelier.
To date, the video has received almost 2.2 million views.
Located in the gated community of The Oaks, Houghton’s home is within close proximity of the properties of the Kardashian clan. In fact, it’s where Kourtney picked up the home of the retired football player Keyshawn Johnson in 2014. Khloé reportedly wanted to sell her spread in the exclusive locale for $19 million this summer. She recently let the luxe estate go for $15 million.
As for “Chateau Houghton,” the Mediterranean-style abode, built in 2015, has been made over. You enter into an open floor plan updated with a neutral palette and filled with natural light, on 5,165 square feet of living space.
The newly remodeled living room includes a fireplace and a dining area with French doors that open outside.
A grand piano hints at the couple’s musical lives, along with built-in shelves that showcase the Grammy awards of the singer’s husband, Israel Houghton.
The gourmet kitchen has indeed been transformed with white cabinetry and new appliances, along with a marble island, a walk-in pantry, and a coffee bar. Just adjacent, a family room with a fireplace looks out to French doors.
A staircase that links up to an extra loft space could be used as a home theater, gym, office, or playroom.
The second level features the master suite, with a private balcony and a large tub in its en suite bathroom.
All five bedrooms are en suite with walk-in closets, with a total of six bathrooms.
Outside, the over half-acre grounds sport a patio and pool and spa with waterfalls and a waterslide. A dining area includes a built-in barbecue for outdoor feasts, and the backyard includes a covered living space.
A new backup generator, gate, and garage have all just been installed, completing the offering.
The Emmy-award winner has been a co-host of “The Real” since 2013. Before her talk show career, Houghton, 37, who was born Adrienne Bailon, was a member of the girl groups 3LW and The Cheetah Girls.
