“House Party” is realtor.com®’s official podcast about the overlapping worlds of real estate and pop culture, hosted by Natalie Way, Erik Gunther, and Rachel Stults. Click the player above to hear our takes on this week’s hot topics.
Would you move to Tulsa, OK, for $10,000? In this especially tenuous time of the coronavirus pandemic, when people are craving more space and a lower cost of living, Americans are actually considering (and making) a move like this. The cash comes from a program called Tulsa Remote, which gives financial incentives to remote workers who are willing to relocate to the city. The initiative launched in 2018, and similar programs in Topeka, KS, and the entire state of Vermont have since popped up. We unanimously agree that $10,000 is not enough to lure us to the Sooner State, but we do name our prices on this week’s episode of “House Party.”
Other topics we discuss:
- The owners of the real-life house that inspired “The Conjuring” will be shamelessly hosting a paid paranormal livestream inside the house with a group of renowned ghost hunters.
- We continue our series of “Fixer Upper” episode recaps by covering the infamous (and awkwardly built) Faceless Bunker house.
- And, as always, we name this week’s celebrity real estate winner and loser.
