After selling his Florida home last spring amid a divorce, Chicago Cubs manager David Ross purchased a different Tallahassee, FL, home last fall for $1.2 million.

Ross’s new abode boasts three bedrooms, four bathrooms, and over 3,400 square feet, on nearly an acre and a half of land.

Built in 1950, the single-story home offers two separate gated entrances for security and privacy, as well as a circular drive out front.

Inside, the ranch-style dwelling features hardwood floors throughout. A true highlight is the large kitchen, designed for entertaining, with a breakfast nook, solid surface countertops, and two wall ovens.

Adjacent to the kitchen is a family room that could easily be transformed into a fourth bedroom, complete with closet, and a full bathroom, glazed concrete flooring, and block glass windows.

The home’s large dining room overlooks the well-manicured front yard. Out back, there’s a refreshing pool to relax in after a long day’s work.

The home comes with a three car-garage that includes a space on the upper level dubbed “grandma’s attic.” It appears to be the perfect spot to store and display a wealth of baseball memorabilia.

In March 2019, Ross and Hyla, now his ex-wife, listed their 5,000-square-foot home in Tallahassee for $1.4 million. The spacious five-bedroom home, built in 2010, wound up selling a month later for $1,325,000.

According to an article published in February in the Chicago Sun Times, the couple have finalized their divorce. Ross, 43, is now looking forward to starting his first season as the Cubs skipper.

Ross bounced around the big leagues for 15 seasons as a backup catcher and pinch-hitter. He became a World Series champ in 2013, with the Boston Red Sox.

He proceeded to become a folk hero in Chicago in his final big league season as a key member of the Cubs 2016 World Series-winning squad.

After his playing days, he worked for ESPN as a baseball analyst and appeared on “Dancing With the Stars.” The Cubs brought him back as their manager following a less-than-satisfying 2019 season.
